£50,000 to “Save The Jets” claims Facebook page

The speculative figure, along with a deadline date to raise the funds of the 30th November, was posted today on the Facebook page named “Save The Jets”.

There has been plenty of support so far from fans since the announcement last week that the Cheshire franchise would still be run by the BBL after it withdrew it from Haydn Cook, who still holds the rights to use the name “Cheshire Jets”.

Spirits were extremely high following the victory on Sunday at home to local rivals Mersey Tigers, and supporters have since been throwing into the mixing pot an array of ideas that could possibly help rescue their team.

With such a long history, and a strong fan base already in place; it could be the perfect opportunity for someone to step in if they have an interest in the team. For many though, it could be seen as deja vu, and closer, maybe too close, to the knuckle at the point when Cook took over the summer.

Nonetheless, it is more time than no time at all, so for more information, click here to visit the Facebook page itself.
