Stngrays release Mizerek

Excel Hull Stingrays have released captain Josh Mizerek.

The 34-year-old American defenceman signed in the summer from The Hague in Holland.

Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier said: “Josh has been released and I would like to wish him nothing but the best for the future.”

Canadian defenceman Kurtis Dulle, who rejoined the team in October, will take over as captain having performed the same role last season.

Cloutier added: “Dulles was our leader last year, he has been around, he is an experienced guy and he will hold guys accountable.

“He leads by example and we expect him to lead the team in the right direction.”
