Rodin back for Stingrays
Experienced defenceman Dmitry Rodin will return to the Excel Hull Stingrays line-up for Sunday’s Rapid Solicitors Elite League clash with Cardiff Devils at Hull Arena.
The 36-year-old Estonia international has missed the last seven games since sustaining a knee injury during the home win over Fife Flyers on November 20.
Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier said: “Dmitry will be back in the line-up against Cardiff which is really good news. He has skated for the past two weeks now so he is ready to go.
“He is a big part of our team, he runs our powerplay and is very calm back there. It will be good to have him back.”
Cloutier also confirmed British forward Tristan Harper should return over the festive period.
The former Dundee Stars player has been sidelined for a similar period to Rodin with a shoulder problem.
Cloutier added: “Harps is just waiting for his shoulder brace to arrive and then he should be back too.
“It will be good to have one or two bodies back in the line-up, especially with the hectic schedule coming up.”
