Dollies look to make it two in a row at Big Bucks
The Dolly Rockit Rollers will be looking for their second win on the bounce next weekend as they take on the Big Bucks High Rollers.
DRR put in a strong performance in their last game – a 308-124 home win over Liverpool – but they can expect an extremely stern test from their High Wycombe based opponents.
Big Bucks may be relative newcomers to the UK derby scene but they are already shaping up as a team to watch, with a core of experienced players led by European All Star skater AnDracula. Impressive in their recent 144-113 victory at Sheffield, they will be highly motivated for what will be their first ever home bout.
The Dolly Rockits have been doing their homework on the Buckinghamshire league, however, and are looking to avoid any surprises come bout day.
“Big Bucks are a clever team and the Dollies will definitely rise to that challenge” said DRR all-rounder Nitro Noush. “We have known a lot of their key players for a long time & have seen their skills develop”.
With the two teams looking fairly evenly matched on paper, the penalty count may end up having a big influence on the scoreline.
Keeping it clean is likely to be a focus for both sides. “Our first half [against Liverpool] was tight & the Dollies played well, albeit a little over-enthusiastically, which resulted in more penalties than we would have hoped for.” said Noush.
The summer DRR rosters are due to be announced in the next few weeks, which will give an extra incentive for the Leicester team’s skaters to impress on track.
BBHR’s Cinco De Mayhem bout takes place at Wycombe Sports Centre on May 5th at 17:00. Tickets are available from http://www.
