Raiders reportedly set to lose Paul Williams

The UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders are set to be dealt a massive blow ahead of the 2012/13 BBL season, with star big man, Paul Williams, looking to explore his options outside of the UK.

As per www.thisisplymouth.co.uk’s recent report, the 6’10 Williams, who joined the coastal club from the One Health Sheffield Sharks ahead of last season, is looking to capitalise on his outstanding 2011/12 campaign where he averaged 15.9 ppg, 11.3 rpg (second in the league overall) and 1.05 bpg en-route to being included in seven BBL Teams of the Week and being awarded a place in the BBL Team of the Year.

It was thanks to his enormous contributions that the Raiders were able to reach both the BBL Cup and Trophy Finals (both times falling to the Eagles).

With Williams’ departure looking likely, you can be sure that Raiders Head Coach Gavin Love, will be spending his summer recruiting a replacement centre.
