BBL Tweets of the Week: 2/10 – 7/10

At UKAmericanSportsfans.com throughout the 2012/2013 season, I’m monitoring tweets from BBL personalities past and present for our new feature Tweets of the Week. Everyone is talking about the excitement of the first three weeks of the season but the subjects concerning some well known BBL faces on Twitter are rather more diverse. Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of the BBL on Twitter.

I’m starting this week’s Tweets of the Week with ex-Lions man Howard Crawford’s attempts to steal the thunder from this week’s Conservative Party Conference with his solution to Europe’s recent financial crisis.

Coldplay make me feel sad too Tin Tin, very sad. No sad is the wrong word. I need two. Physically sick. I feel better now.

Here’s the one you’ve been waiting for. Boo Boo’s back and will be making an appearance in the stands at one of Tommy’s games this weekend. No budget Foxy for those guys. Hanna Barbera all the way. That is the Boo Boo you’re talking about Tommy, right?

We like Tommy so much he’s in twice this week and it looks like Boo Boo’s been raiding the old pic-a-nic baskets again.

Another former Wolves star is getting all philosophical on us but having read Richie’s Twitter timeline I’m asking myself the same question. At least I am now after someone slapped me awake again.

Morale of this one, get Mr O’Reilly, in your fantasy team. Especially for the weeks Plymouth plays Mersey Tigers. In fact, scratch that one. Get ANY Raiders player in for those games.

Talking of Mersey Tigers, Daniel Pilkington is suffering from insomnia. Whether it is him or a bed partner that broke wind I don’t know, but either way I really don’t think you should be sharing these things on Twitter Daniel.

Another Tigers’ man, Matthew Jackson, seems pretty excited about ITV’s Take Me Out. Maybe he’s planning to rope Paddy McGuiness into the Mersey squad? He fits the bill, home grown, big lad. Let the ball see the basket Matthew, let the ball see the basket…

I know the Giants are proud of their young British roster but they need to remember to give them their pocket money before those long bus trips.

If you thought that Tommy Freeman was the only one of our basketball friends with a Boo, think again. Sheffield Sharks’ Gage Daye’s got one too. If this keeps up I’ll be doing a Tweets of the Week Boo special. If anyone of you guys are reading this keep the Boos coming! Should I reword that?

I’ll leave you for this week with these words of wisdom from Mersey Tigers’ Josh McGinn. Thanks for sharing Josh.

I’ll be back again next week with more Tweets from as the BBL season continues.
