Manchester Giants join with Sport 4 All to develop basketball
Manchester Giants today announced a partnership with the brand new owners of the Sport 4 All Centres in the Greater Manchester area in the hope of bringing through more potential young talent in the game.
The centres located in Stockport, Oldham, Bury and Warrington which already run Central Venue Leagues, alongside National League Basketball Clubs, junior coaching sessions and holiday coaching camps, will now be branded through the Giants organisation as part of the revived team’s development plan.
The two organisations share a vision and philosophy and will be working closely together to develop facilities and attract newcomers to sport especially basketball.
The partnership brings one of British Basketball’s icon brands together with a facility owner/operator providing the platform to grow grassroots Basketball in Greater Manchester.
A spokesperson for Sport 4 All said: “We see the partnership with the Giants as vital to our core objectives to provide affordable and quality opportunities for young people to play sport. Early on, the synergy between our aims and objectives and that of the Giants was evident. The Giants are about creating opportunities for local talent and providing a platform for them to play sport at the highest level which is something we really like about what the partnership brings.”
Both Sport 4 All and the Manchester Giants are confident that the innovative plans they have for the future will prove successful. Giants Head Coach Jeff Jones stated: “Affordable facilities are a major key to developing basketball on a mass participation level and the partnership with the centres presents us with a tremendous opportunity to grow the sport. At the same it is another step in establishing the long term future of the Giants and insuring that Manchester Giants will stay prominent and will be an inspirational part of the Manchester Sporting scene for many years to come.”
