BBL Trophy Final celebrations – The Twitter Edition

Yesterday saw the Sheffield Sharks win the BBL Trophy by beating the Leicester Riders, 71-69 in front of a full Emirates Arena in Glasgow. The nail-biting victory by the Sharks was only their second-ever Trophy win and came without leading scorer, Micah Williams, who was ruled out through injury.

BJ Holmes was awarded the MVP thanks to his game-high 25 points on 5/7 three point shooting.

Following the on-court celebrations, players, clubs and fans took to Twitter to express their feelings on what was a magnificent day for Sheffield but a disappointment for the Leicester Riders, who started the day as favourites as they sought to win their second piece of silverware of the season but just fell short.
