When and where to watch the Stingrays this pre-season

The Rapid Solicitors Hull Stingrays have announced their pre-season schedule which will see them take to the ice against four times to get ready for opening day.

The Hull side will meet fellow Elite League outfit Coventry Blaze at the Skydome on Wednesday August 28 before travelling to play the English Premier League’s Sheffield Steeldogs on the following night.

The Steeldogs will then visit the Hull Arena on Sunday September 1 (6pm face-off) and Blaze also repay the favour when they come to Hull on Wednesday September 4 (7.30pm face-off).

Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier said: “It is good to have four games like this to prepare for the season. They will be tough, physical games and that will suit us.

“It is a chance for the guys to get their legs going, to get a feel for the puck and to get our systems in place.

“We played the (Kingston) Jets and Steeldogs last season but we never had a full team, but this year there will be no excuses. We will have them ready from the get-go. The results are not that important, we want to make sure we get our systems in place and stay healthy.”
