Central City roll in to Cheltenham
July 28 2013 is a big day in central UK for Roller Derby. Not only is the Heartland Series Western Divison Day five on in Northampton but Severn Roller Torrent (SRT) are getting some out of series practice and experience.
SRT never rest on their laurels and despite dominating the Heartland Series so far, they recognise that they have to challenge themselves constantly, practice different strategies and learn from other teams. In the spirit of this challenge, SRT are hosting Central City Rollergirls in what is bound to be a closely contested bout. They’ve spent the last month practising their moves, reinforcing the basics and strengthening their teamwork and strategies.
Prior to the main event, a Mixed B Team bout will be played between the Dinosaurs and the Unicorns – which team are you supporting? The Mixed Bout will be a chance for some of the newer skaters to get some much needed bouting familiarity and experience of what is feels like competing in front of an audience of SRT supporters!
So if you’re looking for an afternoon of excitement, get to Cheltenham for an unforgettable afternoon of derby. The Mixed B Team include skaters from across the country. The A Team bout will showcase the best derby has to offer in Gloucestershire.
