Dates and venues confirmed for World Championships

The dates and venues for Great Britain’s participation in the 2012 World Championships have been confirmed.

Paul Thompson’s senior team will face Austria, Hungary, Japan, Ukraine and hosts Slovenia, with the Division One (Group A) tournament running from 15th to 21st April 2012 in Ljubljana.

GB Under-20s, under new coach Joel Poirier, will travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany and the Division One (Group A) tournament will run from 11th to 17th December 2011. As well as Germany, GB will play Austria, Belarus, Norway and Slovenia.

The Under-18s, led by coach Mark Beggs, will play in Heerenveen, the Netherlands from 31st March to 6th April 2012. GB will face the hosts and also Croatia, Korea, Lithuania and Romania in Division Two (Group A).

Great Britain’s Women will have the honour of playing in a home tournament with the Hull Arena the venue for the Division One (Group B) event from 9th to 15th April 2012. China, Denmark, France, Italy and the Netherlands make up the six-team tournament.

GB’s U18 Women have a Division One qualification tournament running from 29th November to 4th December 2011 in Asiago. GB and Italy will be joined by China, France, Hungary and Kazakhstan.
