Doucet faces ban following hit on Braehead’s Zajac

It has been revealed that Benoit Doucet may face disciplinary action from Elite League following his nasty hit on Sam Zajac last Saturday.

The incident, which resulted in Zajac leaving the game with concussion, took place during the second period of a heated fixture between Braehead Clan and Belfast Giants.

Referee Moray Hanson gave Doucet a 2+10 penalty during the game for checking from behind and game misconduct, but Braehead have since asked League officials to take further action against the Belfast star.
