Amsterdam Crusaders at London Blitz

On April 9th the London Blitz American Football Team kick off their 2011 European campaign against the Amsterdam Crusaders at Finsbury Park, North London.

The Blitz are competing for the second year running in the EFAF Cup and have been drawn in a three team group which also includes the Valencia Firebats. The London side travel to Valencia at the end of April with the winner of the group progressing to the semi-finals of the competition. Last season the Blitz battled through to the semi-final stage of the EFAF Cup losing out to a strong Carlstad team.

Head Coach Mark Moss commented “Our opening game against Amsterdam is going to be tough. The Crusaders will have played four games prior to this and will be at full speed. Obviously being at home for our opener will be important for us and we are really looking forward to it.”

Tickets are £3 and available upon entry. Kick-off is 3pm at Finsbury Park Stadium, London.
