BAFA Leagues 2014 – Week Seven schedule

Week Seven of the British American Football season starts early with a rivalry that is one of the best in the game, in fact in most sports that are played between the two counties sparks usually fly. Today the Lancashire Wolverines host the Yorkshire Rams, a game which could have a bearing on the Premier North playoffs later in the year. Both teams finished 5-5 last season and look to be just as evenly matched this year.

A day later we see four games being played in the Premier South. The favourites and champions London Warriors go to the 1-2 East Kent Mavericks. Bristol Aztecs face the London Olympians, both have 2-0 records and both featured in last years playoffs. A win for either will put them in a very good position, but a loss will see the pack behind them close in.

The National League also has a clash of unbeaten teams. In the South West Bournemouth entertain Solent, the latter are one of the favoured sides and should be too strong for their hosts.

In the North West teams are trying to keep pace with the 4-0 Merseyside Nighthawks. A key game here is the match between Staffordshire and Manchester, the latter coming into the weekend at 2-1 will be especially hopeful of staying in touch with the leaders.
