BBL Betting: Friday 7th December
Three games in the BBL this evening – two I believe will be close affairs, and another that should (he says) be easy pickings.
First of all, we stop off at Manchester. This awful run that the Giants have been on surely must come to an end tonight, but my worry is that is won’t be as easy as it seems on paper.
The bookies are going for a home win out and out here, and I agree, but I feel the value comes with the winning margin – which will be closer than many expect it to be.
Manchester to win by 6-10pts – 4/1 @ bwin
Mersey Tigers visit Sheffield Sharks, and after a disappointing loss to Cheshire Phoenix last Friday, will be looking to try and go back to how they set things up initially with the reverse of this fixture a few weeks ago. Since the point where Gael Hulsen was put out of that game, discipline for Tigers has been an issue, but could this really be the turning point against a side who they went up 18 points to? Possibly not, but not without a shock first half again I feel.
Mersey/Sheffield (HT/FT) – 17/2 @ William Hill
Finally we see Plymouth Raiders face up against London Lions, where the win might be a safe bet for Raiders, but how about both halves? Despite a nice little break for Lions over almost a fortnight, I feel Raiders can secure both halves, but only just, and I wouldn’t like to call the score, so with that let’s have the HT/FT again – pretty much double your money over an outright win for Plymouth
Plymouth/Plymouth (HT/FT) – 5/6 @ William Hill
