British Baseball Pavilion returns, to Finsbury Park

With the wet weather now hopefully over, or at least momentarily absent on Sunday, the latest edition of the British Baseball Pavilion will be held at Finsbury Park, near to the home of the London Mets and Meteors baseball and softball clubs, on Thursday 19 July.

Following the GB 23U and Junior international trips last week, and the Cadets’ visit to Canada that started on Friday, the Pavilion has a lot to discuss at the top level of the sport here in Britain.

Added to the excellent London Tournament at the weekend and the increasingly exciting BBF leagues, as well as development programmes across the country, there is plenty for both the casual and devoted fan of the game here, as well as the usual craic around MLB, the draft and other baseball-related activity.

With only six weeks until the National Baseball Championships, things are really heating up, and co-founders of the Pavilion Joe Gray (Chair of the British Baseball Hall of Fame) and Michael Jones (BBF Special Correspondent) are hoping to inspire all sorts of debate when members of the community come together on Thursday.

The event takes place at The Finsbury, opposite the Mets’ and Meteors’ ball park in north London, and starts at 6:30pm (nearest tube: Manor House). If you bring your bat, glove and ball, there may even be a bit of a hit around in the park over the road!
