BUCS American Football Quarter Final results
The race to Leeds continues, and the competition to get there is getting fierce. Both the Championship and Challenge set of playoff quarter finals gave us at least one upset of the rankings, and another closely fought overtime game in Kent.
Top ranked Stirling continue their postseason dominance by almost claiming another shutout only to see the Sabres of Sheffield score in the waning moments of their game. It was the Clansmen easing through in a 48-7 rout.
Keeping pace with the men in Scotland are the Lions in Birmingham. They also kept their opposition scoreless in the first round, but this time they conceded first and early, but recovered to roll over Durham, 41-2.
Hertfordshire, played up to their number two seed by beating a tough Bath side, but the upset of the round was Imperial shutting out Brighton on the road. This was the first time a lower ranked team had beaten a higher placed side in this years Championship playoffs.

The shock of the round was reserved for Exeter, as they travelled to Leeds. The Demons are in the last four as the lowest ranked team by upsetting their hosts 27-14.
