Coleman cuts the mustard for Cheshire Phoenix
Swingman Dominique Coleman has become the latest signing in an ever-growing Cheshire Phoenix team looking to make a real statement ahead of the 2013/14 BBL Championship campaign.
A 6′ 4″ shooting guard/small forward from San Diego, CA, starred for Twin City United last season, and helped them finish second in the Lone Star Conference of the American Basketball League.
Graduating from Francis Marion College two years ago, before which saw him study and play at University of West Alabama, Coleman is Cheshire bound where he will look to boost head coach John Lavery’s Phoenix squad.
“Versatility is very useful and Dominique is adept on the wing or at the top,” said Lavery on his newest addition to the team. “He gives us options and will allow us to change our style on the fly.
“The squad is beginning to come together and we are building a blend of youth and experience that I believe will make us a force to be reckoned with in the BBL championship this season.”
Coleman will join up with newcomers Yannick Crowder and Calvin Clemmons, together with returning players from last season in veteran Shawn Myers and Chris Pearce.
