Coventry Jets Beat Writer joins our team
The Coventry Jets have become the first team in the British American Football Association National Leagues to sign up to the website UK American Sports Fans. The site was created as a platform to support British teams and leagues and as a place where fans with a love of all American Sports can promote their teams and share their passion.
“We provide an opportunity to share what is happening in your community with those who want to know” said Editor and Managing Partner Damian Cooper, explaining “You may visit our site to read our NFL content and find out that there is a UK American Football team on your doorstep and an opportunity to watch football (or even get involved) locally.”
Long time Jets’ Secretary and NFL statistician Adam Etheridge will be filling the role of Beat Writer for the 2008 British Champions “We are really pleased to welcome Adam on board as our Beat Writer for the Coventry Jets this season” continued Cooper “we hope that he is one of many beat writers that we are able to involve in covering the league this year. Through our beat writer system we can not only let fans know who is out there watching and playing games nearby, we can also keep them up to date with how they are doing.”
“I can’t wait to get started” said Etheridge about signing up for UK American Sports Fans “It’s a tremendous site, and one that I visit regularly to find out what’s happening, both in the UK and USA. I was flattered when Damian got in touch and invited me to contribute to the site and I hope that the exclusive content, that I provide, is up to scratch.”
UK American Sports Fans, launched in February last year, also covers Baseball, Basketball and Ice Hockey.
Cooper added, “by covering all these sports we attract a wider audience, and as one of our beat writers you currently have access to nearly 4,000 unique monthly visitors (based on projected statistics for March). We have been welcomed by UK leagues, teams and players, been awarded press accreditation across our coverage and we have been welcomed by the communities that love (and want to share) the sports that we love too.”
“We’re actively recruiting Beat Writers from all BAFANL teams and would encourage anyone that’s interested to contact us by e-mail at info@ukamericansportsfans.com. You will need strong and engaging writing skills to match those of our current writing staff.” You can see Adam’s Beat Writer page here http://www.ukamericansportsfans.com/beat-writer-pages/bafanl-team-pages/coventry-jets
