Sheffield posted their third shutout of the season with John DeCaro turning away all 46 shots for his second shutout. This was Steelers third shutout in their last five games and keeps them hot on the tail of league leaders Belfast.

After a goalless first period the visitors finally got the breakthrough at the start of the second period. Mark Thomas fired home at 21.27 they doubled their lead with a goal from Ashley Tait at 34.36.

The third period saw Steelers player/coach Ryan Finnerty cement the win with a double, with the first coming at 42.08 and then at 47.00 to complete the scoring.
