Dundee Stars 1 Nottingham Panthers 4
Nottingham suffered their first loss of the season last night in Belfast as they went down by the odd goal in three, they were back on the mainland as they headed to Dundee for tonight’s encounter.
The game could have went either way with only the one goal in it with ten minutes to play. Panthers effectively killed the game with two goals late in the third period.
Panthers got off to the perfect start with a goal from Stephen Lee with only 50 seconds on the clock. Despite outshooting their opponents 17-4 this turned out to be the only goal of the 1st period.
The second period again only saw the one goal and again it came the way of the visitors as Guillaume Lepine found the net at 36.42 with a powerplay strike, to give them a two-goal lead.
The hosts pulled one back at 5056 as Jarrett Konkle netted to make it a one goal game. However, at 56.51 David Clarke scored on the powerplay and then at 58.57 Robert Lachowicz found the empty net after the Stars had pulled the goaltender.
