Fife Flyers 2 Cardiff devils 4

It took a goal inside the final minute of the game from the Devils to make sure the points were going back to the Welsh Capital. Up until then Fife were very much in the game.

Only the one goal in the opening period and it came the way of the visitors as Robert Hill found the net at 16.14.

The visitors added a second goal from Josh Batch at 31.49 and then a strike from

Jeff Pierce at 34.08 looked to have put them in easy street. However, a powerplay goal from Danny Stewart at 18.54 gave the home side some hope.

A strike from Mike Hamilton at 41.09 suddenly made it an interesting game. With Chris Wands in the bin for slashing, the Devils made the extra man count as Scott Matzka found the net with a powerplay goal at 59.07 for the Devils to go home with the points.
