Fife Flyers 2 Edinburgh Capitals 3 (OT)
An overtime winner from Rene Jarolin gave the Capitals back to back wins for the first time in almost a year. Not only that it was their first win away from home since 13th February 2010 a run of 39 games.
There was little between the team throughout the game. The visitors netted the only marker in the first period with 44 seconds on the clock, as Bari McKenzie was on hand to score.
It remained that way until 31.14 when the visitors doubled their lead with a strike from Tomas Valecko. The hosts reduced the deficit to one with a powerplay goal from Steven McAlpine at 35.17.
With five minutes remaining the Flyers levelled the game up as Mike Hamilton netted. With no further scoring the game went into overtime at 63.39 Jarolin was on hand to net the game winner.
