Harvey handed four-game ban by Elite League
Kevin Harvey, forward for the Coventry Blaze has been given a four-game suspension following a disciplinary review by the Elite League.
The suspension follows a supplementary discipline request from Fife Flyers over an incident in the third period of Blaze’s 6-1 win at the Skydome on Sunday night.
Harvey was given a 2+10-minute checking to the head penalty at 46.02, which has since been upgraded to a match penalty for checking to the head.
The minimum three-game ban applies but an extra game – which Blaze can appeal – has been added due to the severity of the incident.
As a result, Harvey will now miss the following matches:
- Fife (away – September 21)
- Hull Stingrays (home – September 22)
- Dundee Stars (home – September 29)
- Sheffield Steelers (away – October 5)
