Join Shane at the Wildcats
Another familiar face has returned to Swindon in the form of Shane Moore ,who joins the Cats for a second time from local rivals the Bracknell Bees.
Shane, who was born in Swindon, first pulled on the sacred red and white jersey in the 2002/03 season, putting in committed displays at the heart of the Swindon defence and earning himself a call-up to the Great Britain Under 18 squad. This was then followed by stints at Basingstoke Bison, Milton Keynes Lighting and more recently the Bracknell Bees before signing on the dotted line to become the latest piece in the jigsaw for Ryan Aldridge’s team.
Shane had this to say on his return to the Link Centre: “After speaking with Aldy, I really liked his plans for the coming season and wanted to be a part of it. “The last few seasons have been tough for me with the travelling taking its toll, so I’m looking forward to being back with the Wildcats and building on their past few seasons.”
Swindon Wildcat’s Head Coach Ryan Aldridge was elated with his latest signing: “Shane is a solid stay at home D-Man who I think has matured a lot over the last two years. He is strong in front of the net and in the corners and he makes the first pass. I am happy he has chosen to come back to Swindon to play and I am sure he will play a big part in any success we have this year.”
