Myers and Marks first recruits for Jets

Shawn Myers and Chez Marks are returning to Cheshire Jets as the first signings of new player-coach James Hamilton.

After recovering from an injury that curtailed Myers’ season early last year, the 6′ 6″ Trinidadian forward comes back for his fifth spell with the club.

Joining Myers is also another ex-Jets player in Chez Marks.

A season with Plymouth Raiders in 2010/11 followed two years at the Northgate Arena, and the return of the 6′ 3″ guard signals the foundations of Hamilton’s speedily assembled roster.

Hamilton said of his first selections: “My intention is to have half a young side together with half older and more experienced competitors at this level.

“In these two players, alongside myself, we can bring a wealth of experience and help to steer the newer talent to come into this side in the right direction, both on and off the court,” continued the Cheshire Jets player-coach, “I fully intend to have some fresh legs in this team, and to give those coming in a fantastic opportunity here.”
