Neymar and Brazil team-mates take in Heat-Bucks game
Brazil and beaches go together pretty well – so their national football team being in town ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Honduras at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami seems a perfect venue, and what’s more, they have even found time to take in a Miami Heat game.
Taking their seats at the American Airlines Arena for Heat’s Eastern Conference match-up against the Milwaukee Bucks, stars of Seleção Brasileira looked in good spirits as Miami ran out convincing 118-95 winners.
Barcelona’s Neymar was joined by his fellow countrymen and Chelsea trio David Luiz, Willian and Ramires.
For Neymar seeing his two-time NBA Champion and last year’s Most Valuable Player, LeBron James, in the flesh and record 33 points in the victory, was one of many highlights: “It is a dream come true to watch Miami Heat live!” said the 21-year-old forward/winger.
A certain Mr David Beckham (or Sir Goldenballs – if the New Years Honours are to be believed), was also in attendance and posed for photos with the Brazilian players.
Beckham, who recently announced his intention to set up an MLS franchise in Miami, has been a regular at Heat games recently since his retirement and was courtside at the Barclays Center when the Heat took on the Brooklyn Nets (who travel to London in January to take on the Atlanta Hawks at the O2 Arena).
