Nottingham Panthers 7 Edinburgh Capitals 3
Up until the 38th minute and with only one goal in the game, Panthers then netted twice to take total control of the game against their Scottish visitors and in the end run out comfortable winners.
The visitors stunned the home support as they took the lead with a strike from Martin Petrina at 6.33. The hosts bounced back quickly as Robert Lachowicz found the net at 8.25.
However, less than a minute later the Capitals were back in front with a marker from Marcis Zembergs at 9.44. The Panthers got back on level terms once again at 15.13 as Guillaume Lepine netted. With twenty minutes of the game gone the teams went in tied at two apiece.
Panthers took control of the game in the second period, but they had to wait until they were deep into the period. A strike from Matthew Myers at 22.24 put the home side in front for the first time.

Capitals player/coach Richard Hartmann gave his side a glimmer of hope with a goal at 45.34. However, at 30.31 the Panthers had made it a three-goal game once again as Brandon Benedict found the net.
