Pistons arrive in London ahead of Knicks clash

The Detroit Pistons arrived at Heathrow this morning ahead of Thursday’s regular season clash with the New York Knicks at NBA London Live 2013 presented by adidas at the O2 Arena.

Speaking at the airport Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said: “It’s great to be in London, London’s a beautiful city, I’m fortunate enough to have been here a few times before, so we look forward to the great opportunity of sharing our game with the great people of London, it is always a very exciting atmosphere.

“It’s a very, very big game for us that can’t get lost in the focus. This counts as a home game for us. It should be a great competition between us and the New York Knicks and hopefully will bring a great brand of basketball for the people of London to see.”

Frank commented on Anthony who ranks second in the NBA in scoring this season: “Carmelo is a great scorer he’s a guy that can put together a 40-point game like its nothing. He’s a professional scorer, that’s what we call him, he can score in a bunch of different ways: he can shoot the three, he can score off the dribble, he can score in the post. He’s a constant threat but the Knicks are a strong team and we have to be ready for all of them.”
