Plymouth raid troubled Jets and get Schneck.

The UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders have continued their aggressive approach to off-season signings by recruiting Centre Matt Schneck, formerly of the Cheshire Jets.

American-born Schneck had a solid 2011/12 season with the Jets, ending the season averaging a double-double a game with 15.97 ppg and 10.78 rpg (third best in the league) as he helped them reach the BBL play-off semi-final where they bowed out to eventual winners, the Newcastle Eagles.

Schneck’s departure from the Jets is yet another setback for a team already reeling from the recent news that owner Pete Hawkins has put the club up for sale.

Schneck is Raiders Coach, Gavin Love’s, third new face of the off-season, joining Drew Lasker and former Jets team-mate, Colin O’Reilly, in moving to the South Coast.

Jeremy Bell and Anthony Rowe re-signed with the Raiders earlier this Summer.
