Roller Derby returns to Sheffield for 2013
On 23rd March 2013, the Sheffield Steel Rollergirls will take on Royal Windsor at the first roller derby home bout of 2013.
Ponds Forge will be the battleground when the Sheffield Allstars team meet Royal Windsor ‘B-Headers’ to bump and bruise their way around the flat track. The teams last met in 2011, with Royal Windsor just stealing away the victory on 95 points to Sheffield’s 83 in a knuckle-bitingly close bout.
After a recent big away win against Big Bucks High Rollers in February, Sheffield Allstars rose up the rankings to place 27th in Europe.
The team will be looking to continue their ascendance by taking home a victory on the 23rd so every point counts.
With market stalls, circus corner and raffles throughout the day there’s plenty to entertain all ages, so come and support your local roller derby team while enjoying a top family-friendly day out!
