The Wrap-Up: Durant gets Thunder past Wizards and Knicks get smashed
Keith Firmin brings you The Wrap-Up on all of last night’s NBA games including, a pathetic showing from the Knicks and Lakers.
Spurs @ Knicks
The San Antonio Spurs weren’t messing around when they faced the New York Knicks last night, dispatching the Knicks 120-89. The Spurs shot an impressive 53.9% from the field while keeping the Knicks to only 37.8% as they outscored the Knicks 64-32 in quarters one and three. Danny Green and Tim Duncan both finished with double digit points and rebounds. Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani each scored 16 points in defeat. J.R Smith went 1-for-9 in his return from suspension.
Wizards @ Thunder
It took a Kevin Durant three at the end of regulation and then two late free throws in overtime for the Oklahoma City Thunder to see off the pesky Washington Wizards, 106-105. Durant led the Thunder in scoring and rebounding with 33 points and 13 rebounds, while Bradley Beal kept the game close for the visiting Wizards, putting up 34 points on 5-of-6 from deep.
Pelicans @ Suns
The Phoenix Suns handed the New Orleans Pelicans a 101-94 loss thanks to Eric Bledsoe’s 24 points. Markieff Morris continued his excellent recent run of form, putting up 23 points in the win. Anthony Davis had a difficult night, scoring only 14 points to go along with his 12 rebounds and four steals.

Timberwolves @ Lakers
The Timberwolves made light work of the Lakers, scoring 47 points in the first quarter en-route to a 113-90 win. Kevin Love’s 25 points and 13 rebounds and Kevin Martin’s 27 points were not the most impressive part of the victory though, as Ricky Rubio recorded a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists.
