Video: Timelapse takedown of the Olympic Basketball Arena

It’s almost coming up for a year since London 2012, and for many basketball fans, the following video may be hard to watch and take in.

The fate of the basketball arena situated in the Olympic Park, now officially known as Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, was known for an extraordinary amount of time.

It was always meant to be temporary, much to the dissatisfaction of many, but nonetheless, whether you agree or disagree with the loss of the biggest venue built with the main purpose of hosting basketball, seeing the sight of it torn down, together with the dismantling of the water polo arena, and redesign of the aquatics centre, during the course of this video somewhat gut-wrenching.
